The black and white wardrobe is perhaps considered the epitome of classic and timeless fashion. There goes the all black outfit, white on white, and their duet. But these classic colors can be zest up by matching them with a hue and/or metal accent.
The grey hues are a good combination for the black and white fashion. One can pick from the light to the dark grey depending on the wardrobe appeal intended. Usually, if subtle effects are desired, the charcoal grey shade is a match for black. As for loud appeal and emphasis, the lighter hue of ash grey would be advised. The grey hues are applied on the belts and shoes that come with the wardrobe. Like a black pantsuit with charcoal or ash grey pumps.
Another option to spice up a black and white ensemble would be a silver accent. The silver accent especially works well with white. A good example would be a white top, silver belt, and black trousers. For a formal look and subtle appeal, a frosted silver belt would be a good complement. An all white pantsuit would really look fabulous with a silver belt and is also a good candidate for a winter wardrobe.
The figure conscious society is growing more and more aggressive and so people try whatever slimming stuff is offered in the market. Food supplements and exercise materials are most common products sold for slimming but never clothes. Clothes are actually used to measure once slimness. But in reality, clothes can help in creating a slim look.
People who may not fit in the slim category typically choose clothes that have less exposure on the arms like long sleeves or cardigans. But clothes can be designed in such a way that they can create the desired illusions such as looking tall and slim. And for a top, the same design rule applies.
To look slim with a top, the key things to remember are the color, sleeve and neckline. This also applies even to the ever challenging sleeveless tops. This idea is actually great for ladies who are working their way to slimmer bodies. While waiting for the slimming supplements and workout to pay off, exercising consciousness on the neckline and sleeves of tops will really help. Horizontally wide and shallow necklines definitely do not help. Instead, select the ones that are narrow and deep. In this way, the breadth of the chest will not be exposed. Also, make sure that the color is of the darker shade because that has slimming effects on the body’s figure. Lastly, the sleeves can be a powerful slimming feature. Sleeveless tops with narrow, deep necklines and contoured short sleeves are really good alternatives. Just make sure that the color of the contour blends and/or complements the color of your arm so that it will not have an emphasis effect, instead it will give out a slimming effect.
A white dress may not be as popular the little black dress unless you are a bride to a wedding. Though the popularity of a white dress might be insignificant, the functionality and elegance of the color white on clothes cannot be underrated.
Wearing white is very ideal for the summer time. White shirts made from cotton fabric can really help the body absorb less heat ergo leaving a cooling effect. Similarly, white is the preferred color for clothes to be worn when cruising with a yacht or a liner especially on daytime.
Besides absorbing less heat when the sun is out, wearing a white corporate top on a job interview is very ideal because it conveys positive impression such as sincerity and simplicity. It also does not cause any distraction to the interviewer unlike when a colored and printed top is worn. And because it is one of the neutral colors, it is not usually subjected to bias especially in the fashion sense of the corporate world. As for the world of parties, Egyptian inspired costume for a party is a real show stopper because who will not notice a Cleopatra strolling with her long white dress accentuated with gold accessories. A white ensemble such as Cleopatra’s showcases elegance at its best. In general, white long gowns usually give a goddess appeal which promotes elegance.
When buying clothes, shoes, and other parts for a wardrobe, those that come in one color and/or metallic accent are usually the ones bought. But there are those that come in two or three tones that would be a great addition to one’s wardrobe.
But what is a tone? In music, it is the pitch. But in fashion, it is the color. So when they say it is a two toned pair of shoes, then they are referring to a pair of shoes that has two colors. Tones may not be a famous pick but in terms of fashion options, they offer more.
In shoes for example, a two toned pair of brown and beige would really look great with a brown, beige, or pink pantsuit. As for clothes, two toned blouses are those with a base color and toned sleeves like a black silk halter top toned with powdered pink contour on the sleeves. With this top, a black, hot pink, or even a dark violet clutch would really be perfect. Apart from offering more combinations, tones also give emphasis to the object. In an all black outfit for example, a pair of shoes in black and white would really be the eye catcher. Same with the accessories like
